E-Books

My next big project had been to put together a mobile App using my compositions. I spent close to 3 years on this. More information about this is elsewhere on this website. After completing that project I was keen and ready to get back to composing. I did not have a specific project or goal in mind but wanted to discover more about the impact of multiple melodic lines co-existing in a composition. At the same time I wanted to see if I could get a better understanding of why andhow such compositions could make a deeper impression on the listener. This then turned into a new project for me that would entail composing new material and analysing what they turned into. I thought this could turn into an interesting document certainly for me but also for others. It will of course also turn into an E-book with scores, audio files and even videos where you can see the score and hear the music. This book will most likely take a year or two to come together. I decided to put drafts of chapters of this new book into my website.

During the Covid Lockdown I wrote a book about what I had learned about composing in the octatonic scale. Since I wanted to be able to show scores and play audio files I had to make this book an E-Book. I had wanted to document what I had learned about composing in that scale and thought that writing a book was the way to do it.
